have had some gyno problems...

I'm HPV positive, type 18, and have had a negative colposcopy with biopsy in 2003. Since then, I've had normal pap smears. But a few months ago, I started bleeding for no reason between periods, and after it started again last month, I went to an ER doc (just lost my health insurance, had no choice) who did a pelvic and said there was a palpable ovarian cyst, but also there was a lesion on my cervix. I can't pay for my gyno, so I just have to deal with it for now. But has anyone ever had multiple ovarian cysts and/or cervical dysplasia, and how can you tell if it's more serious? I think he did a pap smear but I haven't heard anything from the hospital...

Welcome sociostudent83.

I found this in our Cervical Dysplasia resource area (http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/cervical-dysplasia.html):

Though mild cases can sometimes return to normal without treatment, moderate and severe cases of cervical dysplasia typically require treatment. A variety of procedures are used to remove the abnormal cells, including cryotherapy (freezing), laser treatment, or a cone biopsy (in which a cone-shaped tissue sample is removed from the cervix).

As for the ovarian cysts, most cysts resolve on their own with in 2-3 months.
