Unexpected findings during an ultrasound

I recently had an ultrasound scan to determine the cause of continuous bleeding following the birth of my 6th child. Although the scan showed no problems within the endometriosis that could cause this, the radiographer commented on a polyp on my right fallopian tube. She took measurements and an image of the tube, but said no more about it and carried on with the scan. I had a smear test taken not long before i fell pregnant with my last baby and i received a letter back requesting i make an appointment to have it redone as there was a problem with the test they had taken. Unfortunately, i was already pregnant by this point and a repeat test hasn't yet been done. Is there a possible connection between the smear test and the polyp on my fallopian tube and should i be concerned?
