Hi everyone. I'm new here. Well, my period problems started over 6 months ago! I'm 26, was 25 when it first started. I just had a period that lasted about 3 weeks. This happened for a few months. I was at work one day and stood up and just had a gush of blood. Sorry if this is TMI. I went to the ER where they examined me and told me everything looked fine. He said I may have a small cysts though and to follow up with an appointment. I had the appointment and again he said everything looked good but there was no cyst. He prescribed me birth control. Well, I rarely take any medication and I wasn't about to take birth control. Especially not knowing for sure what is causing it. Well, in December I finally had a normal period...well somewhat normal. It lasted about 6 days and was lighter than usual. But the next month it was back again and lasted a month. It's not continuously heavy...it varies from heavy to light. It's very frustrating and I'm tired of it. I have insurance now so I am making an appointment with a regular doctor. Any ideas what is causing it? Any natural remedies to regulate my cycle?? I'll take any advice, tips, thank you.
JJ

Hi JJ, welcome!
I have had this problem in the past, and for me it was caused by an annovulatory cycle with breakthrough bleeding.
