Ok,
So I have my Coloposcopy scheduled for the 25th... Last night I went to my dr's office early to see the PA for a TCA treatment for warts, but also to ask some questions regarding the seriousness of my abnormal PAP. She said a term that i've never heard before... She told me that I am "ASCUS". I have no idea what this means, but she said that on a scale of 1-10, the seriousness of my abnormality is like a 1. She also told me that I have no cause for concern because this is why they are bringing me in on such a regular basis to keep checking me and to be aggressive with me so that nothing DOES come of this. I asked her if this could ever convert to normal paps and she couldnt say for sure, and I told her I was scared of having to have a hysterectomy. She said I was going way out of proportion and that at most if this kept up for years on end, then they would try doing a leep on me to see if that helped, but she said my situation doesnt call for that now.
You would think this would've calmed me down some, and yes it has, but not very much. Nobody likes hearing the word "abnormal", especially when it comes to your female parts! Does anyone have any take on this? And does anyone know anything about the word "ASCUS"?
Thanks!

This is one of the hits I got when I did a google search:
