Irregular periods driving me batty!

Hi!
I'm Kim, 27, and a fairly new mom. I started having my periods about 4 months postpartum (not long after weaning) and everything seemed to be OK. A little heavier than before, no big deal. But they are becoming more sparsely timed. This past period was on Feb 2nd, and the one before that, Dec 27th. I'd like to begin fertility charting, but I'm waiting until AF shows. I swore up and down that I had PMS about two weeks ago, cramps, backache, moodiness. No AF to be seen. I haven't taken a HPT yet but I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant, I start barfing before the 2nd line shows. (I've been pregnant previously, did not give birth) I would really like to start TTC baby number two in the summer, maybe starting to 'not prevent' in May.
I've been stressed lately, and that's what I'm thinking the cause of my missing AF is. I'm not grossly underweight or overweight, I'm not too sedentary (I have an 8 month old!) and I don't have PCOS. I think I'm stressing over not having my period, which is causing me to not have my period!
I'm thinking of giving my midwives a call next week if it still hasn't shown.
Thanks in advance for any insight you may have! It's driving me crazy!

Hi there,
Stress can delay ovulation, which can make your periods have irregular timing.
