Hi everyone its a long story but wondered if anyone can help Im a 25 yr old female

After having Cin 3 in 2004 and having leep treatment I have had on and off bleeding which has gradually got heavier. I have since had cyrosurgery 3 times on my cervix and another leep to sort the erosion on my cervix. After returning to my gynacologist in jan as  the bleeding is so heavy i am now passing out she has a rranged a d&c hysteroscope and ablation or something. Apparently my cervox has finally healed and they spoke about fitting a mirena coil while im under general anastetic but im not sure what to do. I have yet to have children and im fed up wit feeling like this. does anyone know what the hysteroscope will involve its nxt thurs,  many thanks

I think you need to discuss what is going on with your doctor and make sure that, if you are still wanting children, you let the doctor know that before she does an ablation.

Hi, I agree with Vida. You need to find out exactly what they have planned for you so you can make an informed decision. I have not had an ablation, but have had a D&C. I had a lot of pain afterwards, but it only lasted a few days and codeine 3s helped a lot.

Also, if you think you might want children I would not suggest an IUD. Even though they now say they are safe for women who have not conceived they caused me great pain and scarring which lead to a number of permanent problems for me. I also had an ectopic pregnancy with an IUD in place and nearly died. They can cause lots and lots of problems and it sounds to me like you have had plenty already and need some time to just relax and heal. An IUD can be pretty difficult to adjust to especially if you have not had children.

I agree with the other posts and wanted to add that if you're bleeding that much, have you had any blood tests to make sure you're not anemic?
