Strange discharge....kinda embarassing..

Okay, so I know everybody tends to get uncomfortable talking about such matters, but...I have to ask...

Yesterday I noticed an unusual discharge after using the bathroom.  It's like elastic.  When I wiped, the "string" of it broke and snapped back toward my body.  I could actually feel it snap back.  I thought that was strange, so I put my hand down there and tried to feel what it was.  When I pulled my hand back, there was little pieces of clear or very light colored discharge on it that had the weirdest consistency.  It was like....rubber cement.  It didn't have an odor at all, but it was strangely dry.  When I tried to rub it between my thrumb and forefinger to test the texture of it, my fingers came away dry.  It's nothing like the egg-white discharge that a woman normally gets when she's ovulating.  It was clear and stringy like that, but sticky as well.  I know I sound crazy, but I can't think of any other way to explain it.

I had a baby in January of 2007, and have since been diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg - about 9 months postpartum.  I have been on Warfarin therapy (blood thinners) since the end of October 2007, so....about 5 months.  I can't imagine the Warfarin has anything to do with vaginal discharge, but...just thought I'd put that in there for food for thought.  I skipped my period last month - well, actually it was just a few days of VERY light spotting, almost just a light pink discharge.  I have an IUD to prevent pregnancy, especially while I'm on the blood thinner.  But, just in case, I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative.

Let's see...I think that's about all the details.  Can anyone tell me if they've heard of this kind of elastic, rubbery discharge before?  Thanks so much for your help!

Hi phoebe736 and welcome.

From what you describe, it still sounds like it is ovulation discharge.
