Uterus Didn't Combine During Develop?

I was told a few years ago after an ultrasound that when I was developing, my uterus didn't come together as it should and is now somewhat split.  At least, I think that's what I remember the dr. telling me.  He said that I should still be able to have children but that my pregnancy might be more difficult.  I was wondering if anyone knows more about this or if you have the same complication?  Thanks for any info.

Ohmygoodness, believe it or not, I know what your talking about!! There is a lady on another board that I post on (not here on IVillage) that has this!! I had never heard of it before she mentioned it. The good news, she's had 2 very normal pregnancies and as a result has two beautiful little girls! If yours is the same thing as hers (and it sounds like it is) it's called biocornuate uterus. The way she described it to us is that her uterus is divided in two, so instead of one large "room" there would be two smaller "rooms". If you do a quick Google search you should find a ton of info on it!! Good luck!!

This is quite a common thing, though there are different "severities" of it.
