Period and nausea
| Thu, 04-03-2008 - 4:50am |
Hello everyone,
So here's the case: I woke up this morning at about 4 with awful nausea, but I didn't throw up...yet. I'm sipping Ginger Ale. I'm nearing the end of my period (I'm sure it's my period because it was fairly heavy and lasted for about 3-4 days and is regular.) This has never happened before, and I am very rarely nauseous. If it makes a difference, I took some Benadryl (2 pills, the recommended dose) before I went to sleep to get me to sleep because I had trouble falling asleep. Could the Benadryl be causing my nausea? I highly doubt I'm pregnant.
I would appreciate some advice, please, especially from those who've had this happen to them. Thanks in advance!

Good morning,
Well, the nausea went away in about 30 mins, and I didn't vomit. I sipped ginger ale and ate a little bread, hoping it would settle my stomach. It did, so I went back to sleep and woke up feeling fine. My period pretty much ended today, but it was the normal length at the normal time, with normal flow and color. So though I don't believe I'm pregnant, I will take your suggestion and wait it out for a couple days, seeing how I feel.
Thank you for your quick reply; it reassured me.
Btw, you don't think this could've been caused by hypothyroidism, do you? There's a possibility that I may have it, because I had a doctor's
Ariana, anything that messes with your endocrine system or your body in general can be enough to mess with your menstrual cycle.
