Lessening Amt Blood Drain during Period?
| Sun, 04-27-2008 - 6:44pm |
My new Gyne told me that by taking an Ibuprofen 1-2 days before my period starts - that it would lessen that amount to come out.
I'm going to try it - but this almost seems reverse logic? Wouldn't it increase it?
Other ways to lessen the amount we have to deal with????? :D

I responded to you on the pms/pmdd board as well...
Welcome picketyfence.
I have to agree with Vida about taking meds unnecessarily if your flow is normal.

WELL! I can say I tried an Ibuprofen Sat Morn -
I normally start during the night Sun-Mon ---- but, this week, started Sun Aftn!!!!!!
I can say, I've not seen any difference.
Unless anyone can tell me more, or try to convince me something else, I guess I won't try.
I am 41 1/2!
With my Trivora - which I've been on about a year - I notice my periods are extremely heavy about the first 2 days. Previously, I'd noticed it more spread out.
But then, i ask, what's so bad about having it 2 days really horrible - then easy off - and nothing the rest of the month, of course.
Maybe 2 days heavier ------- opposed, to more even days spread out, is actually better!!!!??????????
