Hello my name is Roxy and I have been having pain in my lower abdomen and back, but more in my back. When I move certain ways it will increase sometimes. I had a baby 8 months ago by c-section, and the pain I feels like its  getting worse and is something I feel everyday, all day. I'm having to take motrin almost everyday and I usually have a high tolerance to pain. I told my Dr about it last month and she said it could just be scar tissue and that was it. I was just curios if that's all it is, because my mom and some of my friends have had there babies by c-section and didn't experience this. I also have trouble making a bowel movement, I don't know if it has anything to do with the pain I have but when I try to go I have pains that shoot up my lower right and left side of my abdomen. It sometimes is mucusy and may even have a little blood in it (sorry I know that is tmi....forgive me). My mom said she thinks its from straining. But I'm not a doctor so I just don't know. Please help me if you can.

Well I went back to the Dr yesterday and she found a urethral diverticulum....she said that where it is located it is most probably causing the pain. She said that it prevents me from finishing going to the bathroom so I have urine sitting in my bladder constantly so I get that "holding it in feeling" which will wear my muscles down a lot and make them sore. She gave me a prescription to take to make any infection that may be there go away and I have to go back in two weeks so they can decide if they are going to remove it or if a urologist is going to. If I am still uncomfortable after they remove it she said they will further testing.....and for now she said to take stool softeners that she thinks I have ibs.....fun Dr visit huh....lol. I will keep you posted on everything.

Well I don't know a whole lot about urinary diverticulum but I hope that your doctor is able to treat it and relieve your pain.

To get your bowel movements more regular, you might want to start with something like Metamucil to get you going to start with, and then maintain a diet high in fibre.
