Another cyst- already??

I haven't posted in a few months.  2 yrs ago I had my left ovary and fallopian tube removed b/c of a 15cm cyst.  Then in February of this yr I had a 5cm endometrial cyst removed and they also removed all of the endometrial lesions they found at that time.  Since then I have been on birth control pills to help prevent both the return of cysts as well as the endo.

About 6 wks ago I started having lower back pain.  I was working out pretty hard and thought it was muscular so I treated it as such with ice and Advil.  I had had a similar pain prior to my surgery but didn't make the connection at the time.  Last week I started having stabbing pain in my pelvis when I urinate.  Over the weekend I started spotting (brownish colored) even though my period was 2 wks ago.  Then yesterday I started having sharp pains in my lower right side and the spotting became bright red blood that I had to use a tampon for.  I've also noticed that I am not emptying my bladder fully when I urinate.  I feel like I have to go constantly but when I go it's on a little bit and then in another 30 minutes I feel that urgency to go again.

I did call my dr and I have an appt tomorrow.

I've got that familiar full feeling in my abdomin and I'm 99% sure that I have another cyst.  What I don't understand is how this happened when I am on the pill.  Does this mean that there is a higher chance that the cyst is cancerous?

I'm dreading the prospect of having to have surgery again.

Hi again,

I'm so sorry you are going through all this. If the shot had simply been suggested, and you had opted out for the time being, I would have told you to avoid it like the plague. Some women do really well on it, but I had a horrific experience with it. Not only do you have to wait it out three months, but that one shot could very well throw your cycle out for up to two years.

Just wondering if there is any chance that your back problems are contributing to your migraines at all, or are they predominantly hormonal?
