PLEASE help!!!

Hi i'm new here and i have 3 questions that i really would like answers to please......

My friend uses sponges when she has her period and swears by them but not the advertised sponges for period uses but just a normal bath sponge that she cuts to size, so in the intrest of not wanting to use tampons as i find them uncomfortable and can always feel them no matter how deep i insert them, i tried her method, to my surprise other than the taking out and washing of this i find them agreeable.

i was wondering if this is at all dangerous to me and if they are safe to use??

I have also been looking at the caps that you can buy which you can reuse, now i know that these collect the blood my my question too this is sexual... i feel embarassed to admit it but i find that my sex drive increases when i have my period and while i know this is normal i refrain because i find that seeing my husband smeared in blood aftewards is a bit of passion killer yet i end up being frustrated, so i was wondering if you can use the caps to good effect without the thing bursting if we get a bit excited and carried away...i enjoy love making but sometimes a faster and deeper pace is required and so i don't really want the thing bursting in the middle of our more rapid lovemaking because that would defet the object... so is it possible to use the caps with a more rapid pace without leaking??

and my last question is.. within the normal perameters of odor during a period is the offish cream smell normal?

Pehaps it is just me and i'm being paranoid but it does smell like off cream when i use pads and whilst noone else can smell it i can when i use the toilet and its offputting.

hope all this made sense

much appreciated for your tie and answers

Hi there,

I really advise against the use of bath sponges, since they are not designed for period protection.

Just adding on to what our cl said, since I also use the Stayfree pads. It is a line of them. There's Stayfree Ultra thin, but you can also get ones with wings, etc. They come with oder neutralizing technology. I find those with the "cottony" soft cover is the most comfortable ones out there.
