Hi,


I have strep b and I found out i am pregnant. I am freaking out because I don't know if this is safe for baby? I can't see my obgyn until the end of the month and I am almost 2 months pregnant. I posted here before re: strep b but i am still worried if i am going to have a healthy baby. thank you.

GBS is very common. Almost all women have it at some point in their life. It comes and goes. So if you tested positive a while back you may not even have it now. Even if you have it at delivery time, you deliver vaginally and you refuse all antibiotics there is still only a tiny chance your baby would develop serious complications from it.
