What are the chances........?

An ultrasound showed that I have a 6cm cyst on my left ovary. My OBGYN told me that it could go away on it's own, but he scheduled me for surgery in about 3 weeks. The morning of my surgery I'll have another ultrasound, if the cyst is gone, I can go home, otherwise I'll go ahead with my surgery. So I'm wondering what are the chances of it going away by then....I'm not in pain like I was when it was diagnosed, so could it still be there? He said it appears to be a "mixed" cyst, that there seems to be fluid and blood in it, and that it looks like it leaked and bled around the outside of it. If anyone has any input that would be great, I just want to know how to prepare myself, I really don't want to have to find out the day OF, I'm a typical female, I want to know what's coming lol:) Thanks again......

Hi owoeisme.
Most cysts are functional cysts and disappear on their own in about 2-3 months.
