Reacurring yeast infections =/

Hi

I dont post much but this problem is getting annoying so need some advice! After everytime I have sex I end up getting a yeast infection 2-3 days later. I went to the doctors when I got the first one (not the first time I had sex, just the first time I got the infection) and it was indeed a yeast infection (I am healthy besides this issue) but was wondering WHY I have been getting one after EVERY time I have sex? This just started within the last few months (I'll add that my partner is healthy and infection/STD free also). Since the first infection they have gotten increasingly lighter as my first YI was very heavy and thick. What is best for clearing this up as quickly as possible (over the counter medications)? Is there anything I can change sex-wise to not cause these infections? Do you think this is a single reacurring YI? Any thoughts would be great as I dont want to continue getting these infections as they are more then a little annoying and embarrassing.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Has your partner been treated for a yeast infection? Believe it or not, he could be passing it back to you (and I have had that happen to me, so I know it DOES happen). Especially if you notice any irritation on the head of his penis after intercourse, then that is a big sign he might have a yeast infection.

Also, if you are a bit dry in that area, then any irritation from sex can make it easier for an infection to take hold.

I just checked out the V Book link that the other poster provided, it's a great link, and I wish I'd known about it sooner!

That link looks really good.

I didn't understand fully from your post but make sure your partner is free of yeast. Treat BOTH of you.

I had chronic YI for 4 years. I have to take daily probiotics now. Kombucha was the only probiotic that was strong enough to help me.

Oh yes, this has happened to me before.

Here is a video explaining yeast infections and how they can be passed on:

I hope it helps!
