How do you know if you've ovualted?  When do you normally ovulate is it before during or after your period?  My husband and I have just decided to have a baby and I'm a little confused about that.  I'm going to the doc tomorrow to have my iud removed and I'm planning on asking him, but just wanted a little bit of info before I go in.

There's a great book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility that describes all sorts of knowledge you can use to know what your body is doing and when.

Hi Ashley,

Ann gave you some great information. "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" is part of my bookcase as well. It's fantastic, and you can use it to learn how to chart to avoid conception as well.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Also, iVillage has a free online fertility chart that was created by the author of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It is based on the software she had created to go with her book, and it will definitely help you on the road to conception!
