Will my vaginal tear heal?

I had 3rd degree tears with the birth of my son 16 wks ago. 2 wks after his birth i went in for a d&c for left over placenta and after it was done the dr. who did it told me he removed the top layer of stitches of my vaginal tear and restitched them to make it tighter. A week later i saw in the mirror that he left part of my perineum open on top! I went in and saw my midwife and she said it shouldn't affect having sex but if it did then i can get it reconstructed later. I went in a few days later to get the opiniion of an OB and she really stretched down there so hard and wouldn't let go even though i told her to stop so many times. She even had me hold a mirror to see what she was doing and i saw a stitch opened on the inside edge...but i was too afraid to ask her cause i just wanted her to stop. After that i was in so much pain down there, especially when i sat down and tried to get up. I am still in pain but not as bad as before but it is still hurting. The stitch that was opened held that part of my vagina on the inside apart for a few weeks til the stitch dissolved. Is it still possible for that part to close even after being held apart for so long? This new OB talked to me about reconstruction...i see her on the 22nd again. I feel like this pain is never going to go away and its made me very depressed. Is it ridiculous for me to think it will never heal? it is the area that opens and closes if i open my legs. I thought i felt better recently but then after going to the park and walking up and down a few big steps it started hurting more again. I feel like everytime i open and close my legs i am hurting that part, is that possible? sorry for the many questions. Thank you in advance!
