Hello,
Recently I have been having some worries. I am 18 years old and I think I have a yeast infection. I believe this may be due to recently switching to tampons for the first time. I have the classic ricotta-cheese, slightly lumpy-white discharge. My inner labia is also very red, sore, and itchy. I wouldn't be concerned but I recently started getting finger-like pearly growths in a linear fashion down both sides of my inner labia. I looked this up online and it looked like pictures of vestibular papillomatosis. They are in perfect lines. At first I thought I had maybe torn my labia sides with my nails or something but then I began to see the small tubular growths. Could these two occurrences be linked in any way? Is the latter anything to worry about or could it possible be something else?
Other information:
+I am sexually active but I have not had intercourse in a year. I recently had oral sex about 1.5 weeks prior to this incident though it was not performed on me. I worry because I did touch my genital area when using the restroom closely following this encounter.
+about 2.5 weeks prior I had a pap smear and a routine checkup and it was all ok. I guess that wouldn't matter though since I had recent sexual activity.

Welcome to the board magussister.
Your recent/current yeast infection would most likely put you at a little higher risk for getting another type of infection.
