Hi,
Does anyone have any input as to what might be causing these symptoms. It reminds me of when I had my child (12 yrs ago!)...sort of a feeling like something was falling out of me or feels swollen. It is accompanied by just a feeling of discomfort/swelling in my lower abdomen. At that time I did go to the DR and they said I was fine. I've had this feeling just often enough to think it feels familiar, but not enough to have noticed a pattern. About a year or so ago I had similar feelings, again went to the Dr and they found no problem, so I really don't want to rush in there for them to tell me that again. of course, if it last a few more days, or gets worse, I will go in. I am just ending my period and think maybe it was about that time when I have felt this before, but I'm not sure. It's more disconcerting than anything at this point, feels better if I can sit and/or wear a pad to make me feel 'supported'. Not recently sexually active, so it's not that. Anyone have this or have an idea?
I do tend to get a LOT of hormonally related symptoms (migraines, etc) so I wonder if maybe it could be just another fun symptom to live with.
Thanks

Some of the others here might have better/ other ideas of what it may be... I was just looking around and saw your post. My first thought was uterine prolapse, since I believe you mentioned it felt like something was falling out. Just a thought. You could do a search on uterine prolapse and see if that sounds like what you are experiencing. If it is, then I would mention that when you go to your Dr.
Take care,
Beth
Welcome to the board pamms2005.
Although uterine prolapse is a possibility, the heaviness/swelling you are feeling can also be a symptom of several conditions including ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, irritable bowel sydrome, and that is just to name a few.
