my ex cheated on me with 2 other girls. ive had some tests done and they come back clear, i made my ex get tested too to make sure he has nothing. his results came back clear too . His other ex who he cheated on me with has now got chlamydia, who she must have caught from antoher guy she has been with.

The other girl who he cheated with too, also had her tests come back clear too.

I was having protected sex with his since the end of may/start of june. And he was last with the girl that has chlamydia in the middle of june. Do you think i need to worry about having anything ? he and i both got tested at the start of july. ( i caught him cheating at the end of june).

Im stressing that i have something altho the tests both come back clear. Ie heard for females it can take 6 months to show, but how long for males ?

I had a hysterocopy done and thats where they also took some tests to make sure i dont have any std's. (thats the test i had done at the start of july)

Please help! do i have to worry?

Welcome to the board angel_086.

You've already done the best thing you can do..........have the testing done.

Hi there,

Chlamydia does not show symptoms in 80% of people. So your ex can have it and not know. Also, it can have a long incubation period. Take it from someone that knows - I tested negative twice in the first six months of having unprotected sex with someone, and then found out a year after the unprotected sex that I did actually have it!

The most effective way to test for chlamydia is through cervical swabs. It's quite possible that the urine sample will be negative, particularly if the sample is given too early. Since there has been a decent incubation time by now, I think that you should be OK to give the test.

Things to look out for: if you have any symptoms with chlamydia, expect a greenish discharge that will have a horrible smell to it.

If your ex does have a cold sore, then you might not have any symptoms, but look out for the same looking thing: a cold sore looking bump. The cold sore virus is very similar to the virus that causes herpes, and can cause the same symptoms.

Suggestion: stay away from your ex, he's not worth it.

i was looking up how you can catch chlamydia because my ex wanted to know how his ex caught it. While doing this, i read that if you have bleeding between periods you may have it, but as i have been tested for chlamydia, this was ruled out as the results came back clear. But im just wondering, this past week i had a brown discharge - alot of brown blood which is my period so i thought. Im pretty sure i had my period thru out this time for the past 6/7 days. This could not be chlamydia could it ? Now ive read about the brown discharge its got me stressing. i show all the signs of having chalmydia even tho i dont.

Hi there,

Stress could have upset your hormones and contributed to the spotting, but if you are concerned, you should see your doctor again. Particularly if it smells really bad, or gets worse.
