vaginal noises?

I have a problem that started after giving birth to a 10 lb baby and has continued now for many years. On an almost daily basis, air comes out of my vagina like gas! I spoke to my doctor soon after giving birth and she said that was normal and it should stop soon. It hasn't and I have done plenty of exercises to try and help strengthen muscles. what is causing this?

Hi there,
What's happening is air is getting sucked up into your vagina. This comes about when the vaginal walls aren't as toned as they used to be. After giving birth to a 10lb baby, I'm not surprised you're having issues!
There's a sex toy product which is two metal weighted balls that can be inserted into the vagina. Depending on the type, they come under a number of different names. The most common ones are Fun Factory's "Smart Balls", Benwa Balls. Smart Balls have a silicon coating over both balls, which join the two balls together, making it easier to insert and remove. Benwa Balls are two separate balls. The balls basically help to tone your vaginal muscles up, because the muscles have to work hard to hold them in. The can also cause some stimulation of the G spot, making things more sensitive in that department. I've seen a number of women on the iVillage sex boards recommend them, including a few CLs.
Aside from that, the only other option you really have is to have a surgical procedure for a vaginal tightening. It would involve cutting out some of the vaginal wall and muscle, and then joining it back together. Of course, this would require a few weeks in recovery time, and would be expensive! But if you think it's an option for you, it's something you could research and discuss with a plastic or cosmetic surgeon.
