its happening again

So for the past year I've been having severe nausea during the second day of my period, extreme cramps, noticeable increase in fatigue, and migraines. Last year, my gyno put me on birth control-(Yaz) to which helped aliveate some of the nausea, but not the fatigue, and then not even the extreme cramps.
Here's my problem. I'm a college student (21) who knows the cost of birth control pills is off the chart, and I had some issues with Yaz (mood swings, just feeling so...emotional and out of control) that I stopped taking Yaz and just went off birth control pills completely (and thought that would be the end off it). Well, its not the end of it and I'm not even having sex but I want to feel better-and I don't want to be one of those women who's on birth control pills her entire life. However, I also do not want to feel so sick, month after month! Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I'm going to refer you to the PMS & PMDD Board, since they should have some suggestions for you.

Look into a supplement called Gamma Linolenic Acid or GLA.
