Okay I have a question regarding my period and I have a lot of background info that might be affecting it.
I am 22 years old, normally get periods for 4 to 5 days ever 27 or so days.
At the beginning of august i moved to another state for grad school. On August 14, I had a normal period. On August 23, I had sex twice. We did not use a condom, but he pulled out (I know, I know, very stupid decision). On August 25 I started classes, and since I have been very stressed out about school and having a lot of trouble sleeping. I have probably been averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night. I was also somewhat freaking out about the possibility of being pregnant since I had never used the "pull out" method before. Also, during this time I began running about 3 or 4 times a week. Also on August 24, I went to the doctor and had a UTI.
On Sunday, September 7, I (kind of?) got my period. It was pretty light, almost spotty. I just got my first prescription of birth control, Loestrin 1.5/30, so I took the first pill as directed to take it on the first sunday of my period. On Monday there was hardly anything and on tuesday I got a little bit more. By wednesday it started to be a little more normal. HOwever, as of today September 15, I am still bleeding, its not super heavy and takes a decent amount of time to soak a tampon, in fact I haven't thoroughly soaked a tampon more than once in the past week. I don't consider the blood flow really light either though. So to be clear, I have been bleeding for about 9 days (and i've never bled this long) and I've also been having minor cramps for the past week or more too. Oh and the blood has been pretty bright red, and thinnish (so not dark or thick)
Does anyone know what could be going on? Could it be because of the loestrin? Pregnant? the Stress? How many more days of bleeding should I wait before visiting my doctor?
I'm so worried right now!

Hi greenbamboo and welcome to the board.
You sure have alot going on and unfortunately, you are correct, they can ALL be affecting your cycle.
First off, I would take a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side, although with the bleeding you are having I would doubt that is an issue.
