Does anyone else have this problem?
| Fri, 10-10-2008 - 7:42pm |
Sometimes before I start my period my clit will hurt, like hurt to touch it or even wash/shave my vagina in the shower, it hurts alot. And sometimes (even without it being time for my period) before I masturbate, I have to rub it a certain way in the beginning to get it "comfortable" sorry if that was TMI, but I feel it is part of my question. Anyway, does anyone else have this same problem or am I the only one?
When I was around 7 or 8 years old I was on this type of jungle gym at the park, it looked like a pyramid of rings, and the rings got smaller as it got to the top, it kinda looked like a round ladder. Anyway, I was straddling one of the rungs and my foot slipped and I slammed down with all my weight on my vagina/clit. I remember crying and my dad checking me to see if I was bleeding but I wasn't. So could that cause my discomfort now? Or is it unrelated?
Thank you all in advance for the answers. I love this board alot!!! You guys rock and make people like me feel not so alone.

Hi there,
The clitoris is full of thousands of tiny nerve endings, and it's quite common for extra sensitivity to occur in the pelvic region just before, or during a period. The fact that you can only touch your clitoris certain ways during masturbation is completely normal. Some women are simply more sensitive than others. I don't think that falling down on the rung as a child would have done much in the way of permanent damage! I did similar things as a child myself (like riding a man's bike and slipping off the pedal and falling on to the bar!)
