Should I get a 2nd opinon?

hi im 26 and wounding if i should go to see anther doct about my overies.every month the week before my period the week of my period and the week after im in that much pain it not funny
i can hardly walk my stomach feel tight it also feel like my overis is beening twisted the only think that help is to take my pill. but that cant be good to take the pill the day of my period or the day after i get my period (two days eariler than supoes to ) i get a cyst my dotor says wait a month see what happens the next month i might not get a period and in not pregant eather, he also says if i lose weight that will help but how can i if i cant do any excise when im in pain i can hardly walk.somethink just doesnt seem right and im sick of been in pain every month hope some one can offer some advice

Hi, Sorry you are in such pain. Have you been evaluated for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). You will need to get an appointment with a specialist called a reproductive endocrinologist. You can ask your OB/GYN about it, but they are not really trained to know what tests to order or how to interpret them or treat PCOS. Also you should visit the PCOS board at:

I think a second opinion is definitely in order. With that much pain, it shouldn't be ignored. An ultrasound would probably be the first place to start! A contorted fallopian tube/ovary can end up being very problematic, so it's better to find out what is going on and rule any major problems out.
As Marcella said, finding a reproductive endocrinologist might be a good idea as well.
