any help will be nice.

I'm so sorry that your doctor felt that it wasn't important to inform you of what an HSG entails, I find it unfortunate when some physicians don't educate their patients on tests/procedures.
Do you know why you're having the test done?
im having the test done on monday, and no im not trying to concevie.
i has bleeding for 3 months and had an abnormal pap and then had a vag ultrasound yesterday.
while i was doing the vag ultrasound the dr that was doing it asked her assitant to call my dr to see if she could see me that same day. they didnt tell me why i just got wheeled to the dr office and waited to see her.
when she came in she said that i needed to have this test done and
Please please PLEASE call your doctor's office and ask to speak with your gyn.
Hi there,
I agree with manoangeliukai - you need to call the doctor and find out what these "abnormalities" are. You have a right to know what is happening, what they suspect could be the problem, and why you have to have this procedure.
Will you be having the procedure done in your Dr's office or
I'm editing this particular response b/c I realized that perhaps I made it seem like it is indeed possibly a sonohystogram that you're having, as the other person mentioned.
i just talked with my dr she said the test i am going to take will be with the red die and saline.
she said that i had several poylops and fibroids and that the ultra sound found.
she said some of them looked really big and she wanted a closer look
Hi again,
I'm really sorry that you're going through this, I wish you all the best, it sounds like the doctors are being very proactive, and that's a good thing.
Hi there,
It's good that they are being so proactive about it. It might be a good idea for you to find out how soon your doctor will remove the polyps after this procedure, so you can make plans. You might also want to get them removed even if they don't appear to be cancerous, because they can cause heavy bleeding whether they are cancerous or not. Depending on the location of the polyps, they could very well be able to remove them via hysteroscopy, which is less invasive than typical pelvic surgery.
I hope that whatever the outcome is, that they have caught any problems early and that you will be on your way to recovery soon. You might also want to find out if they plan to remove the fibroids. And you should consider the possibility that you might have to have a hysterectomy if things really look serious. These days they can do a hysterectomy via the cervix, but this will depend on the size of the fibroids, etc, as to whether or not it could be achieved that way.
It's really good that you got the perspective of another doctor, so you know that your doctor is doing the right thing by you.
Keep us updated, and good luck.
