Im just wondering if this is normal, Last night while my boyfriend was giving me oral when i orgasmed  i had cramps and it hurt. It has never hurt to have an orgasm before, so i found this a bit strange. But lately since my doctor has put me onto the pill valette ive been having cramps, or im not sure if the cramps are from the morning after pil i took a  week ago because i started taking valette about the same time i took that tablet.

I've had problems the past few years where im bleeding between periods and doctors and gyno's dont knw what the cause is, my new doctor seems to think it is hormonal so is trying different tablets. I had to get off the pill because at one stage while on diane-35 it made me bleed for a whole month straight. But now back on the pill again, im scared it is going to do the same thing, but trying something is better than not trying something.

So if anyone can tell me if its ok to have cramps while have an orgasm , and what your thoughts are on the bleeding and what else could be done if it is hormonal - other than taking tablets. Ive taken primolt i think it is which was meant to regulate it, but for the past week in the mornings has light brown discharge,so that never helped. thanks very much.

Hi there,

Did the doctors and gynos do an ultrasound when they were looking at the problem you were having of bleeding in between periods? Depending on the cause of that issue, you could still experience problems with bleeding on the pill, because the pill doesn't always control the symptoms (note that the pill doesn't actually fix a gyne problem, just controls the symptoms so it is like it is no longer there).

As for the pain during orgasm, it could be your body reacting to all the extra hormones you have put in your system recently. It could be a sign of another period set to arrive due to the morning after pill side effects. It could be related to the irregular bleeding issue that you have had. So it could all be related, or it might not be related to each other at all. If the problem continues, talk to your doctor about it, and try and pinpoint where the pain comes from.
