Have a question

Hi,I'm new and I have a question to ask. I'm 28 years old and have 3 wonderful kids. I had my tubes tied 2 1/2 years ago and since last Oct I've been having horrible pelvic and back pain(the pain goes down my leg also),and was wondering if I can still get endometriosis after a tubal? The told me I had a 3.5cm cyst on my right ovary but it had burst and I'm still in pain. Could it be endo? The cyst had burst in November, but I'm confused as to why I'm still in pain. I saw the gyno and he said if I'm still in pain in 6 weeks for me to call him and he will have to go in to see whats going on. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Hi there,

Yes, paps only rule out irregular cells on the cervix, so it is entirely possible to still have endo after a clear pap (since a pap doesn't test for that). Also, scar tissue can be quite unpleasant if stretched and pulled the wrong way, so that may be a contributing factor.

Reading this last message of yours, I think it is good that you are going back to your doctor about the Lyme's Disease.

Let me know what the outcome is!

Hi,well I got my first results back and they're equivocal..not sure what that means. The nurse just told me that they have to do a Western Blot test(which they're testing now)to confirm. I'm hoping I get answers to why I'm sick. I have chills, nausea, body aches, sore rib cage, neck pain, pelvic pain, irregular cycles, pain down my arm and more. They're all on my right side where I got bit. We don't live in an endemic area(ticks),and so my doctors first thought that there was a very low risk on getting the disease. I know I was bitten by one because I pulled it out myself and saw the 8 legged black tick and so did my husband. Well,I just wanted to update everyone. Have a great day, byeee!!

Hey there,

By the sounds of things the results were inconclusive, so this would explain why they would be doing further testing.

Good luck!

Hi,I just wanted to update on my test. I was only reactive on 1 band and so my doctor said I don't have lyme. I went and saw the doctor today so he can take a look at my bump. He said that I have an infection and so I need to take antibiotics for it. I'm soo happy that I finally have a diagnosis(been sick since October). But,when he looked at the bump up close,he saw some black in it(a piece of the tick),ewww. Thats why I've been having chills, nausea, fatigue(flu like symptoms)all this time and didn't know it was an infection, and I also didn't know that part of it was still in me(it's been 7 months since the bite). I do remember 2 weeks after I got bit, that some of it came out. I guess I didn't get the whole thing out. I sure hope this antibiotic will help. Thank you for all the info!!!

Wow! It's starting to sound like an episode of House!

Glad you have finally got a diagnosis and are on the road to recovery :).
