Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good natural ways to cure an infection? I've seen putting garlic up there, adding vinegar baths, and soaking a tampon in probiotic yogurt for an hour... eh??? I don't want to use anything over-the-counter. This is gradually really starting to bother me.. any advice would help! thanks.

Have you seen your gynecologist to find out what type of infection this is?

Thanks for your reply. Well, you're probably right but the appointments always are weeks away. I don't think I can even wait another week to let this go. I guess I'll have to use over-the-counter.

Are you talking about a bacterial infection or a yeast infection? Natural treatments would differ depending. Bacterial infections can come and go on their own and vinegar baths would help IME. You might also douche with kombucha or grapefruit seed extract, diluted, as both would help a bacterial infection as well as a yeast infection.

Speaking of vinegar baths, you should take one every few months anyway. It balances the PH and reduces the risk of infections.

I'd think of something like cranberry juice
