Hello everyone, I have a question about wet smears. I was having some irregular discharge and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a infection. I have a regular doc but since I have issues with my ins not paying for everthing outside of my routine pap smear I decided to go to a clinic I used before having ins and just pay the small fee instead. I was giving a wet smear and everything was normal and I was told it was caused by the bc I am on. I assumed they would send my samples to a lab and it would take days but she gave me results during the visit. Im wondering how accurate are wet smears and what exactly do they test for?
I found this information for you on how & why wet smears are performed.
Ok I think that video pretty much answered my question as to what they test for thanks.
