Do you suffer from hormonal headaches?

  • Yes, I regularly get headaches during "that time" of the month.
  • I occasionally suffer from headaches related to my menstrual cycle.
  • I haven't thought about it, but maybe my headaches are related to hormone levels
  • I have headaches often, not just during or before my period.
  • No
  • Other

I'm post menopausal so I would have to say no at this time ...

Carol, did you have menstrual migraines or other headaches corresponding to your menstrual cycle before menopause?

I get severe migraines about 5-7 days into my cycle.

Yep, I tend to get them then as well Jenn, as well as about the first or second day of my cycle (nice huh?).

I used to get horrific migraines - always 2 or 3 days before starting my period. I would get random other headaches also but the hormonal headaches were a given. After having a baby and breast feeding for 13 months, I rarely get migraines or any other headaches and when I do the severity is much less than it was previously.

That's what happened to my best friend. She never had migraines before having kids but gets them now after 3 kids.

I used to spend days at a time in bed with horrific migraines (and cramps.) I think someone somewhere had pity on me!

I had them when I was younger too, mostly though they were related to weather patterns.
