Hypo and tattoos?

I have wanted a tattoo for years and have made a promise to myself to get one this year around my birthday. IS there any reason I can't get one because of my hypothyroidism? I hope not, cause I have wanted one for so long and this is the year. DH is going to come with me and watch to make sure all is clean, etc., but I just want to make sure it is okay.

Thanks!

Hi Leigh Anne - I have searched and searched and can't find anything that says getting a tattoo when you're hypothyroid is dangerous in any way. That doesn't necesarily mean it's ok - but I sure can't find anything!! When is your birthday and what kind of tattoo are you gonig to get? If you don't mind me asking! Cathy :)

My birthday is right before Christmas (the 17th) and I want to get the Green Bay Packers' "G" tattooed--either on my shoulder or right above my left breast OR on my ankle. Can't decide.

Leigh Anne

P.S.--If the "G" is trademarked then I don't know what I will get. Maybe a green & gold football!

Me and my hubby are thinking about getting a matching or complementing tattoo. He already has one and I dont have any yet, but we're thinking about getting something celtic to celebrate our shared heritage! But you know what they say about 1 tattoo... just like lays potato chips, you can't have just one! LOL, talk to you girlies later, --Lisa
