Wondering If I Have A Thyroid Problem

In recent months, the headaches have become worse and I have also become very fatigued. I am always tired, no matter if I get 10 hours or sleep! I never really feel motivated to do anything at all. I just feel like laying around. My last period was really light (I usually have really heavy periods w/ bad cramps) and then this month's period is already a week late. I took 3 home pregnancy tests but all of them were negative so it can't be that.
I am going to try to go get tested for a thyroid disorder either tomorrow or Friday but I thought I would post and see what you all think before I go. According to my Mom several women in my family have thyroid disorders, so maybe it's a genetic thing. I dunno. Thanks for any advice!

Definately get tested... and try to get a complete thyroid panel, if possible. It does run in families, and I really wish that I had been routinely screened before now (my mother, grandmother and aunts all have thyroid disorders), so that I could have a history that would help me figure out what's normal for me...
There are a lot of knowledgable people on this site; read some of the other posts when you get a chance and I'll bet a few lightbulbs will go off...
Good luck & take care,
Dee
