"Will carb-blocking pills help me lose weight? Any carbohydrates that are not broken down and absorbed in your intestines will pass to your colon where they are fermented by bacteria. For a carb-blocker to prevent absorption of enough cabrs to have a significant impact on weight loss, you would have terrible cramping, gas and diarrhea. If they actually worked as promised, carb blockers would make you so miserbale that you would never take them again."
And from Consumer Reports by way of Oxygen: "CR recently listed 12 dietary supplement ingredients that range from liekly harmful to definitely hazardous. watch out for products containing the following: aristolochic acid, androstenedione, chaparral, comfrey, germander, kava, bitter orange, organ/glandular extracts, lobelia, pennyroyal oil, skullcap and yohimbe."
Here's the link at CR if you want to read why some of these are dangerous:

So check those bottles if you're taking anything like this and just throw those carb-blockers away. As always, a good balanced diet, vitamins and exercise will help the most! Cathy :)
