I have this INSATIABLE appetite lately. I just eat, eat, and eat. But, I have lost 1/2 a pound! I could eat all day long and still be hungry. I eat a decent breakfast (a bowl of cereal, coffee, and usually a piece of toast or a bagel), I usually have leftovers for lunch, and I usually make a fairly large dinner (my son likes to have at least 3 things to eat on the table) and I eat a whole plate full of dinner, and I snack intermittently throughout the day. I am trying to figure out WHY on earth I would be losing weight with all of the food I am eating. I was afraid to get on the scale today, especially right near my period, but I was down .5 lbs from about 2 weeks ago. Is this strange?

Hi Leigh Anne - This happens to me a lot, too. I think as our metabolism speeds up with the medication, our appetite increases so meet the extra demands! The reason why you can lose while eating more is because you are still using more calories than you are eating - that's the basic formula to lose weight. And so many women undereat!! They have no idea how much they undereat - and you just can't lose weight when you don't eat enough. I think the important thing is to pay attention to your appetite. If it slows, you need to slow your eating a little, too. But in the meantime, enjoy!! :) And congrats on losing that 1/2 pound! Cathy
