Hello everyone. I was lurking around the boards to find info on pregnancy and hypothyroidism. I am due to have my little girl this Friday, and I have been concerned because I have had Hypo for almost 3 years now, and it has mostly been under control, though I am not so sure now. I have had it tested twice in my pregnancy, and now I think it went bad again. Now, basically, I am wondering if there is any concern about how this may affect my baby once she is here, or if it will affect ym labor and delivery or anything like that. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. I will try to check back on the board, but if any respnses could be sent to my email, that would be great! Thank you very much for your help!

I think if they've checked it during your pregnancy, and all is ok, you should be fine. It's the early weeks that are mostly of concern. There is chance of miscarriage if the thyroid isn't controlled etc. I am hypo and had no troubles with labor and my dd was perfect. I was checked every month during my pregnancy...gotta love giving all that blood!

I am having issues post partum, so please keep a check on yourself after delivery. I went two weeks post partum for blood work, no issues but about 2 months post partum I started having issues......

Thank you very much! I went to the doctor today, and expressed my concerns about my thyroid being high. It was fine in April, but she forgot to check it in July, so she did it. I will have the results by the end of this week,, so hopefully all goes well! Thank you for your help!
