over the next couple of days. I think I have a virus and I'm just putting off bringing it in because that's such a hassle! But if I'm not here tomorrow and/or Tuesday, it's because I'm without a computer!! Just wanted to let you know. Cathy :)

Hi there...my name is MaryRose and I'm new to this group. I'm not sure how to post a message of my own...but thought I would respond at least this way. In June I had the rest of my thyroid removed. It's been a rough road since then. I should say that 15 years ago I had my left lobe removed after my third child was born. I had an enlarged thyroid (11 times) and nodules. They removed the left side and I was finally stabalized at .150 mcg of synthroid. About 2 years ago I switched doctors. This doctor was not an endocrinologist...but my primary. She decided that I was on to much synthroid and lowered me to .112 mcg. I eventually was moved up to .125. I have never felt quite as well since then. I gained 35 pounds during these last two years. In March I was in a very bad car accident (I think due to the fact that I was a little out of it). Anyway...during that time of healing a new doctor noticed a swelling in my neck. To make this long story short...I was operated on in early June. My TSH level after the surgery was about 2.47...for about 2 weeks post-op. But now...I'm hovering around 16. I'm not old...only 44 years old...but I feel as if I've aged years during this last year. Since the surgery I've gone from .125 mcg, to .137 mcg. I'm now just started .150 mcg of synthroid. Any helful hints...or just support from people who understand I think would help me so much. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this email.

Take care,

MaryRose
