hypo and IBS or ulcers

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about 9 months ago. I've been very lucky and we have been able to more or less stablize my TSH levels with 125mcg of synthroid. I am due to be tested again in about 2 months. I have no idea what my levels are but from reading this board, I realize I need to make sure I have that information from my doctor.
Anyway...I have been having lots of stomach problems lately (I would say for about 2 months or so). I have a kind of burning/pressure sensation near the top of my abdomen and I have frequent bouts of diarrhea that last a few days. There are days when I don't have any symptoms, and days when I am quite uncomfortable.
I have been under a lot of stress lately, work stuff that has led to my decision to leave my current job (I start my new job in about two weeks) and other things...and I seem to be more stressed lately than I ever have in my life. So I was wondering, does being hypo make one more suceptible to IBS or ulcers? I'm pretty sure (again from reading different posts on here) that my body probably reacts differently to stress now...but I'm just not sure what to think/do. But I'm beginning to think I'm becoming a hypochondriac! My fiance and I were joking tonight about "the disease of the week".
I plan on doing a little more research on the web and am considering going to my doctor. I was just thinking someone here probably knows something and can offer insight, advice, information, anything...
Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't envy your challenge of finding foods to satisfy all the health issue requirements of your house. I don't know if I could give up breads and seeds and nuts and stuff. But I suppose if it meant feeling better I would be more selective and only have them once or twice.
I sometimes have a hard enough time selecting stuff without red-meat (which I haven't eaten in about 15 years). It's a lot easier now than it used to be...
Best of luck to you as well, and thanks again!
