my synthroid was upped from 1mcg to 175 mcg 2 wks ago when we found out i have hashi's. i still do not feel much if any better (maybe just a little.) i am concerned this is not enough med, but i also know it takes time for it to get into the system and take effect. i see dr. again on sept. 13th but it seems so far away. my DH is losing hope... as he has pretty much had it with me! i don't think he or i can take much more of my moodiness and fatigue. actually, i think the fatigue is what causes me to be so darn moody.

Hi Erika,

A month is a long time to wait for an appointment when you're feeling lousy now.

Yes,

Call the doctor. I'm a big believer that we can tell, even with cycles of good days and bad, when we're on the right track treatment-wise, and when it's going to lead to going back anyway. Also, I really think the Dr's need to hear about how hard life is when you're untreated! I'm going through a similar thing: when my husband heard that it's still another 2 weeks to my appt., he whined, "but we can't WAIT that long!" It's really such a drag...

Hang in there,

and definately call, (what can it hurt, anyway??)

i think i will call, but i think i will wait until next monday. that will be 3 wks on an upped dose (1-175) which i am guessing is a pretty big jump? i think that is fair. and if i still feel this lousy- i think the dr. needs to hear about it. thank you for the reassurance!
