Hashimoto's...wanna get pregnant

Hi,
Is there anyone out there who has Hashimoto's who has had a successful pregnancy? Also -- what is your opinion about weight loss before pregnancy?
My new doctor tells me I should lose a significant amount of weight before I try to get pregnant. My old doctor (loved her, but she stopped practicing) told me I could start any time. New doc thinks I am at high risk for gestational diabetes and possible miscarriage. I could be at risk for those even w/o the hypothyroid!!!
Anyway...really want to throw caution to the wind and have a little one. I am 31 and am really anxious to start a family.
I would really appreciate any opinions or advice.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just saw no one answered so I thought I would say hi and stuff.
I would listen to your doc. It's always better for you and the baby if you are at a healthier weight! I had gestational diabetes and had to take insulin shots, which sucked!
I had to go to the docs more often, get tested...etc. I mean if you aren't too over weight- within 20lbs, I guess it wouldn't be such a big deal, but if you are more it's probably a good idea to try and lose a little.
I know it's hard though!
I hope this helps some! Good luck to you!
