Well got a call from my new endo on Friday and they have reduced my meds!!! Not a whole lot, but every little bit helps--and reducing is better than increasing.  I was taking 150mcg of Synthorid and now I am taking 137 mcg.  So as you see not a huge reduction!!!  They didn't tell me what my levels were, but they were obviously within normal.  I go next THurs for my thyroid ultra sound and hten will get to discuss all of the results with him the first week in NOV!

Just wanted to share my good news!

Hi...

Congratulations on your meds getting reduced! I'm always happier when they get reduced too. Can you let us know the results of your ultrasound? I just had one done and all my Dr. told me was that I had some nodules and that I might want to get it rechecked in 2 years. Which doesn't tell me much. I looked on the internet and it said that alot of people have nodules.

Take Care,

Rebecca

Hello,

Glad to know that your meds have been reduced. That is good news. I have been "hypo" for eight years and was doing very well on my meds. Then about four months ago, I just did not feel right. Blood tests pointed out that I was now "hyper" and my Dr. is reducing my meds slowly. I still do not feel 100% - It is such a strange thing to go from "hypo" to "hyper" - this thyroid is a tricky gland!!

Hope all goes well for you.
