Hi:

I went to my fertility appointment and the endo said that my thyroid antibodies are 749. She said that's really high. I asked if that meant I have Hashimoto's, and she said "it can turn into that." She also said it might explain the hyper symptoms I've had off and on. I have an appointment tomorrow with the other endo, and she said he'll be running other tests and can explain what happens from here. What might be different about my treatment? Higher dose? Different meds? I guess I'm confused again.

I'll ask about the spasms tomorrow and let you know what he says.

Thanks again for being here,

Dee.

Hi Dee - Do you know which thyroid antibodies were tested? I'm having a hard time finding the info I had on the ranges for these tests so I'll have to look for you tomorrow. If you're testing high for the anitbodies that indicate Hashimoto's - but you have hyper symptoms, then I'm confused too! :) Let us know what you find out tomorrow. Sorry I can't be more help! But I have to go to bed!! Hugs, Cathy :)

Oh wow....hope you get some better clarification/answers on things. It's so strange how such a small thing, they thyroid, causes so many things to go astray.

Thanks ladies,

I so appreciate your support.

I only get hyper symptoms occasionally, and then lapse back into full-time hypo. I don't know which antibodies she tested! Rats. I'll find out today at the endo and let you know. Yesterdays endo said to me, about today's endo, "don't let him hurt your feelings, he's a good doctor, but he sometimes hurts peoples feelings." Aaaagh! So, my husband is coming to my appt. with me today.

One other thing she said is that the antibodies will eventually start attacking my ovaries; so she's testing my ovarian function. Have you ever heard of that?

Well,

More later,

Dee.

Hi Dee!

Please let me know what she says about ovarian function. I am REALLY curious about what she says!

Thanks!

I would be interested in hearing about that also.

Especially because I have been having this pain in my side for about 2 days.

Tuesday night when I first noticed it, I figured it was my ovary because that

would make sense...the right timing and all. But yesterday and today its not

much better. It pretty much hurts all the time, but its an annoying pain, nothing

I can't live with.

I just had bllod work done on Friday to have my thyroid anti-bodies tested (along

with other things) but I haven't got the results back yet.

Anyway, keep us posted...

Hi Dee - I'm glad your husband will be with you to protect you from the mean doctor! LOL! I can't even imagine another doctor saying that! I can't wait to find out what he was like and how your appointment went. I hope it's a good one!! Let us know. Hugs, Cathy

I am curious b/c they did an ultrasound on me and said it looked like polycystic ovaries. My GYN said it may clear up when my hyperthyroid is straightened out. My endo kinda just blew it off to the extent of since I'm not trying to conceive- don't worry about it.

We shall see, I hope it clears up. I've been getting pimples like crazy and I always had really clear skin! :-(

oh well...do you guys ever feel like a hypochondriac?

My friends and I have this joke about me....

that's its all in my head.

So, I can definitely relate to the hypochondriac thing!

Seriously though, I've pretty much stopped talking about

the way I feel, just because its seems like there is always

something wrong!

Take Care

Around here, it's usually hypo-chondriac!! I think Dee made that one up. I guess

hyper-chondriac would work, too. LOL! I was thinking of "Hypo-Maniac" the other day, too. Yes, you get the feeling it's all in your head and you must be nuts! You start to think that you've really lost it and that everyone is normal but you. You think that it can't be possible to have ALL the physical issues you have .. but it's true!! It's all true! It's a bit like a nightmare. LOL! I can laugh now but still ... it's not fun. Cathy :)
