Starting Monday I started noticing a numbing sensation in my left arm.  Kind of like when your arm starts to fall asleep.  I was in a seminar with DH all day MOn & Tues so I chalked it up to that and figured it was the way I was sitting most of the day, leanign on my arm, etc...I don't just sit so that was different than the norm.  However it has carried on all the rest of the week.  It isn't really bad and i can still use my arm, I just have this tingling sensation that is driving me nuts!  ANyone ever have this???

Hi Laura, I love your dancing Elmo!! I've been reading about different hypo symptoms and that seems to be one of them. I was surprised to see that on some lists because I hadn't ever noticed it before. You can always call your doctor is you're worried about it. Cathy :)

Hi Laura! I have had "tingling" in both of my hands & one foot off and on for several years now. It feels just like when your limb is starting to "wake up" after falling asleep. It seems to be pretty common with hypo. My doctor, before he diagnosed my hypothryoid issue, checked me for MS just in case. I had no other symptoms, though, so his next jump was the thyroid and, sure enough, that's what it was. I would check, if you are bothered by it, but it can be a symptom.

Hey Laura,

I have had a numbing in my feet for about a year. It started with the area on the top of my foot under my toes. and has progressed to my whole foot sometimes it tingles and sometime it doesn't but its always numb. Well actually when I started to take my meds I have started to have other little feelings in them so hopefully it will go away.

I'm so glad this came up, because I started having a tingly hand and foot (same thing, like it's just starting to go to sleep) and was afraid to mention it, because, sometimes, it's like, oh man, I just cant even talk about another thing! <> My family are already showing the signs of wear and my mother flat out accused me of "being obsessed, like a first year medical student!" :-/

So, <>, thanks for bringing it up so I can find out it's normal for hypo without talking about it!

I'll be in Spain for a couple weeks,

Will miss you all,

Dee.
