So I was kinda feeling better since I switched from the generic to the synthroid and suddenly I had headaches every night. Like really horrible migraines only my whole head. I was tired and could bearly stay awake after 9 o clock. I usually go to my room right after the kids go to theirs which is 8 o clock. (yes even the teenagers, they get on the bus at 6:45am) I might feel fine all day and start some major flirting with my hubby and then by the time we were sure the kiddies were asleep, I would start feeling horrible. My husband was getting very frustrated and so was I. Yesterday I did not have to go to school and stayed at home to study some of my shakespeare. I went up to my room and started to study, within a couple hours I was so sick. So I decided to take the migraine meds and the ice pack. Nothing happened. Still had the headache. I was so very tired which I am usually in the morning, but it usually goes away once I get going. Then I realized that the difference is that I only left my room for two hours and then went back instead of being gone for at least 14 hours. I emptied my room and then cleared the bay window and under all of the books and stuffed elephants, the wood was fuzzy and greenish black. There was MOLD EVERYWHERE! I went outside and looked at the window and realized, (we've just been in this house a year) the bow window extends out farther than the eaves and the water is probably just entering at each of the angles that stick out. I bleached the window and cleaned it, sealed it with waterproofer, primed it, repainted it, and the hardest thing, I threw all my stuffed elephants away. All the other stuff from my room has been moved to the basement to be checked and cleaned. Fresh linens and some nasal spray later, I felt fine. I did not have a headache last night (woohoo) and I woke up feeling much better. My hubby was so happy he promised to extend the eaves this weekend and waterproof everything outside. He even promised to buy me some new elephants. I was starting to think the thyroid was getting worse or I was paranoid. Anyway, I thought I would share this revalation with you. Mary

Wow - I'm so glad that you found the problem. Mold is such a serious allergy. I always used to feel it, too, when we lived in CT. But it isn't as bad here in Syracuse. We had a lot of oak trees around us in CT and they are the last to fall and would sometimes hold a lot of mold!! I'll bet you're so happy!! That's great news. I'm glad you posted today. I've been wondering how you were doing! Cathy :)
