And I just went to the endocrinologist-and he was unhappy with the medical dr for missing the fact that my tsh was too high-even though she said it was borderline-I guess borderline is too high-all I know is I feel like crap-all I do is sleep all day-when I don't have to go anywhere-and cry-I'm so depressed-and the pharmacy ended up not sending me the med when they should've-they're sending it today-(he increased my doseage) in addition I've been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries-which affects your moods-so now I'm moody AND depressed-

Hi Serinas_mom!

Welcome to the board but I'm sorry it's under not so good circumstances! You've come to the right place to vent and get support from all of us suffering like you are! If nothing else, it's nice to know you are not alone!!!

From what I've learned on these boards there is a big difference between what some doctors and labs say is "normal" TSH levels and what really is normal. Every body is different and what is "normal" for you may not be normal for the next person. In addition, the lab "normal" can be as "high" as 5, when what is normal for you could be somewhere between 1 and 2...and that is a big difference. You may be more sensitive to that difference than some people. For example, when I first got tested my TSH was over 100...I didn't even know there was anything wrong! I thought I was just stressed because of work (and I was so I just brushed how I was feeling off).

It sounds as if your endo is up to date and very knowledgeable about what the "normal" levels really are and is very concerned about YOUR health...that is a wonderful thing! He or she will listen to you when you tell what you are feeling and will make the necessary adjustments to make you feel better. Consider yourself lucky because many of the women on this board are often complaining their docs won't increase their meds because they have tested within that "normal" range!!!

It's really good that you are seeing the endo...make sure he/she and your ob/gyn know about the problems you have. I was diagnosed years ago with polycystic ovaries and I was reading a post on here not too long ago that really got me thinking how much all of this could be related!!! Here's the link to that message...it's VERY interesting and might be something you want to talk to the endo or ob/gyn about...I'm planning on talking to my doc about it (he does my ob/gyn stuff too)

Anyway, I hope you start to feel better soon and keep checking in here, our cl (Cathy) is incredible with answering nearly any question you have...and nearly all of the posters here are going through the same things, so they can offer advice, help, words of wisdom, and a place to vent!!

Best wishes to you and keep in touch!!
