Hi!

I have Graves' Disease and had surgery for it years ago. I got my entire thyroid removed and went from hyper to hypothyroidism. I forget whether protruding eyes is a hyper or hypo symptom but whatever it is, i have had my disease under control for a while and i still have protruding eyes! its awful, and nothing fixes it. I've read that this will go away when you diagnose and treat your disease but it hasn't. does anyone have the same problem or ANY answer or all for it?

thanks!

Hi LJ and welcome - I'm sorry to take so long in getting back to you. I just started working again this week and also have a major project underway!! I've had less time than usual to be here! Here is a link that explains a number of different conditions that could be responsible for your eyes looking the way they do. It turns out that there are 12 possible reasons. I just copied the link for you here since you'll know best what all your symptoms are. If you don't find anything that helps or if it raises other questions, come back and feel free to ask! Hope this helps, though: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/bulging_eyes.htm
