The last two glucose tests have been elevated. The first time it was elevated it was about an hour after I ate breakfast, but this time it was at 4pm and I had had lunch at 11:30. The last one was 105 and the range is 65-99. It should be at the low range during a fasting blood sugar, but it should still be in range without fasting. While the 105 is not too high out of range, it was 4 1/2 hours of not eating. That makes me nervous. I tried to call the doctor, but I have to wait for a return call and it's been hours since I called. (The test was run by the urologist this time. Last time it was the primary care md and since it was normally ok she said not to worry. But this time I am nervous. Could this be from the thyroid? I am waiting to hear about last weeks TSH lab. On the bright side, my parathyroid is fine, I just need to cut calcium and protien from my diet and I should be fine. yeah, right! What's next? UGH!

Well unfortunately, diabetes is an autoimmune condition. So it's not uncommon. Maybe you can get this doctor to give you a referral to a nutritionist or osteopath. Hang in there, Mary!! You'll get to the other side of this. I know it seems unending but it's not. You'll get it all under control. Hugs, Cathy
