Who needed info on normal TSH level?

I think it was Susan but I can't find your original post! I hope I didn't miss your appointment but believe it or not, I've looked and looked for info for you to take on your appointment and haven't been able to find anything really good. There are a lot of good articles that talk about feeling good at that range but nothing I can find that's convincing enough to take to your doctor! But your doctor should know that a normal thyroid would come in at a range of between 1.0 and 2.0. Whether or nor he or she will agree to bring yours down to this level is another story. I'll keep looking, though, but I'm sorry I haven't been much help! Cathy

Greetings .. (lurker, de-lurking here).

I just got my thryoid tested and my TSH was 2.90 .. and so .. I'm off to the dr today to see if I should try and lower it to 1 or 2.

Hi Monica - thanks for de-lurking! I still had all kinds of symptoms when I was at 2.9. Now that I'm down to 1.8, I feel great. So that little bit makes a big difference! I hope your doctor is willing to work with you on it. Let us know what happens. Cathy :)

If you don't mind my asking .. what dosage and type of thyroid meds do you take? I know dosage is different for everyone.
