thanks for the responses to my ? about the new medicine. i tend to sometimes overreact to situations and am impatient to wait on a new med to kick in!! the armour just wasn't helping me to feel as good as i could, in my own and my doc's opinion. i just felt like it was time to try the levothyroxine, as i had done a little research on it. maybe its my imagination, but i do feel a bit more energetic. my pulse doesn't seem to be racing anymore, but i will certainly be aware of anything unusual.
i think my mood is improved some also, but there again, it could be just the hopes i have of feeling better, because i haven't felt well in quite a while.
thanks everyone,
nita

Glad you're starting to feel better. It is a roller-coaster ride and I struggle with how much wait-and-see is involved! I've been going through med. increases every 6 weeks since March and I feel a little better at the beginning of each dose, but am completely wiped ot by the 6 weeks point and each time I feel like calling my dr. and screaming that I can't take it anymore!

It sounds as if you have a Dr. who is focused on the right thing... you feeling good. And the fact that you've decided to make a change to feel better is great. Now as you wait=and-see... this board is a great place to vent frustrations along the way!

Take care,

Dee.

Hi Nita - I'm glad you're feeling a little better. It is frustrating to go through feeling so badly and having to wait to feel better. I agree with Dee, though, it sounds like you have a good doctor. Hang in there and hope you stick around! Cathy :)
